Delicious and unique food in Egypt

Egypt is not only famous for its ancient monument and culture but also for its delicious food, because it's a mixture of different cultures mixed together in one plate.
lots of people around the world don't know much about Egypt and its great food that's why below I have a list showing the great Egyptian Food.


1- Kushary 

Kushary is considered the national dish in Egypt, it contains; pasta, lentils, rice, caramelized onions, chickpeas and garlic. this plate contains lots of carbohydrates that's why it is a rich dish.



2- Foul Medames 

one the most known dish in Egypt, eaten anytime and anywhere, consists of fava beans served with oil, garlic and lemon juice and is eaten with bread.





3- Fatta

Fatta is a well known dish in Egypt, consists of rice and fried bread, garlic and vinegar, and chuncks of chicken and nit is usually eaten in holidays and festivals.





4- Mulukhiya 

Mulukhiya is made from the leaves of jute plants and is prepared by chopping these leaves with garlic and coriander and cooking it with either chicken or beef stock and is served with rice or bread. but it can be eaten with fish and shrimps in cities like Alexandria and Port Said.




5-  Feseekh

Feseekh may sound unusual to lots of people but actually egyptians love to eat, this dish is served only in spring holidays or Sham El Nessim,  the fish is let to dry in the sun and then salting it and if it's prepared incorrectly it can be poisoning.





6- Hawawshi

spiced ground beef cooked in  bread, Yuummy!





7- Kebda Iskandarani 

Kebda iskandarani is very famous in Egypt, it is prepared with mixed spices and it eaten in a sandwich.





8- Stuffed vine leaves ( waraa enab )

this dish is popular through out the middle east and especially in Egypt, it is stuffed with rice, tomatoes, parsley and lemon juice.





9- Hamam Mahshi - (stuffed pigeon) 

This is similar to vine leaves, is also stuffed with rice, wheat or herbs into pigeon then it's grilled.




10- Aish baladi 
a whole wheat bread and Egyptian eat it with everything!!
